Aircraft Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering over a popular southern California shoreline suddenly began spiraling wildly, finally losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators watched.
Footage uploaded on the internet show the chopper beginning to twirl above the shoreline then falling near the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palm groves and a steps adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders said five individuals were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Information on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
