Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
