Paramount Skydance Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Update
Skydance Paramount is scheduled to begin large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance planning to disclose complete information via its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Prior news stated the firm was looking to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
By December 2024, Paramount employed nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 project-based staff.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
